A. Bridge Broadcaster utilizes Advantage Software’s Connection Magic Server for Internet-based realtime. Internet broadcasting allows you to provide realtime services worldwide without regard to location. Bridge Mobile is among the most technologically advanced interactive litigation‐support programs available. Bridge Mobile consists of two components: Bridge Mobile Broadcaster for court reporters, and the Bridge Mobile Viewer for clients. The court reporter can stream realtime text to unlimited clients locally and in the Cloud using wired or wireless connections. The data stream and files are protected in several ways:
- Encrypted data stream over SSL
- Option to secure and password‐protect your network router
- Password‐controlled user rights that limit the viewing and saving of files
NETWORK CONNECTION: Bridge Mobile is compatible with any modern CAT software, and can communicate over any network connection without the need for any file sharing or the opening of special ports. All data transferred between the Bridge Mobile server (Bridge Mobile Broadcaster) and Bridge Mobile clients (Bridge Mobile Viewer) is encrypted using SSL and a custom‐created certificate.
If you choose to use WiFi technology, you can optionally secure your wireless network. With this security established, clients wishing to connect to the reporter’s network would need to know, in addition to the Bridge Mobile client password, the password that the reporter created for the router. This is not, however, necessary because the realtime data stream is always protected.
Bridge Mobile will also support a wired connection to the court reporter’s router with an Ethernet cable. Connecting Bridge Mobile through an Ethernet cable connection offers the same advanced features and functionality as a wireless connection.
FILE PROTECTION: Each connecting client computer will need a password from the court reporter in order to sign on to the court reporter’s server to receive the realtime feed. The court reporter protects the realtime file with these passwords to limit user rights.
